211 A Nationwide Resource
211 is a nationwide information and referral service for people in need. This service provides access to crisis and emergency counseling, disaster assistance, food, health care and insurance assistance, stable housing and utilities payment assistance, employment services, veteran services and childcare and family services.
NJ 211 also serves as the State Homeless Hotline for individuals who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless and as New Jersey's Utility Assistance Hotline.
Live specialists are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for free, confidential, and multilingual assistance.
